中国最古の医学書「黄帝内経」の中に、ベン術の療法が記載されています。ベン石は、中国医術には欠かせない存在でした。人体と摩擦すると遠赤外線を発生し、体を温め、血行や気の流れを良くする働きがあるといわれています。また、超音波も発生し、シミやしわにも効果があるといわれています。
Bian stone therapy is described in Huangdi Neijing, the oldest known medical text in China, and Bian stone has long been an essential element in traditional Chinese medical practices. When rubbed against the body, it is said to emit far-infrared rays that warm the body and help promote blood circulation and the flow of “qi.” It is also believed to generate ultrasonic vibrations, which some claim may have benefits for skin concerns such as spots and wrinkles.

現存する中国最古の医学書と呼ばれている。古くは『鍼経』9巻と『素問』9巻があったとされているが、これら9巻本は散逸して現存せず、現在は王冰の編纂した『素問』と『霊枢』が元になったものが伝えられています。
